Earlier today, Apple seeded out their GM version of OS X Lion to developers.  The Golden Master stage means that this is the version that the public will get their hands on of OS X Lion.  You can Read More on the GM version of OS X Lion here.  Click the “Read More” button below to find out more on when OS X Lion is going to be released to the public.

We have been told by reliable sources that Apple is ready to release OS X Lion on July 14th. This release will be on the Mac App Store retailing for $29.99 along with the OS X Lion server for $49.99.  This July 14th release date also represents that the new rumored Macbook Air that is also set to be released on July 14th to come with OS X Lion built in.  We can not confirm that the new Macbook Airs will be released alongside Lion but it makes total sense as Apple has always demoed or marketed OS X Lion on/with the Macbook Airs.

9to5mac stated that this release date can be of later of July due to late minute bugs.  They also stated that this happened to iOS 4.2 last year.  Apple ended up pushing multiple Golden Master versions of iOS 4.2 due to bugs until it was perfect for it to be released to the public.
